If you’re looking for a great place to advertise your cam shows, you’ve got to be on Instagram!

Millions of people are looking for cam shows and hot new cam girls or cam boys to follow, and you’re just a couple clicks away from reaching them. Here’s how to use Instagram as a cam performer.

Getting started

Download Instagram on your phone and sign up if you don’t have an account already. 

1. Chose a username that’s identical to or similar to your CAM4 name. Short and memorable names will help people remember you, Lala Capri, Lil Jezebel, Aqua Angel are a few examples of this.
2. Write a bio that tells people about you, shows your personality, and includes your CAM4 or Twitter URL.
3. Upload a SFW profile image. Portraits always work best, even if it’s just a quick selfie.

Posting on Instagram

Now you’re ready to start posting your best SFW content!

1. Instagram is not chronological so don’t worry about posting when you’re online.
2. Do not post nudity or anything overly sexual, which will put your account at risk of being deleted.
3. Always use hashtags that are related to your photos. If you are posting a cosplay pic, you could use #cosplay and #cosplaygirl or #cosplayboy along with #cammodel #CAM4 #camgirl #camboy and #adultmodel
4. Only share your best photos and videos, Instagram is highly visual so only post clear, styled, and attractive photos.

How to Avoid Getting Banned from Instagram ?

Keep your account active by following these simple rules.

1. No nudity is allowed so stick to images that show off your style while keeping a little to the imagination. 
2. Never use censored hashtags like #porn #nude. See the full list of banned hashtags on Instagram here:  instavast.com/instagram-banned-hashtags/
3. Do not use automated programs including bots or anything that auto-follows people, and do not follow other users in bulk. Honesty is key!

Monetize Your Instagram

1. Why don’t you start your show by playing a game…

Playing Roll-the-Dice (RTD) with your viewers is a fantastic way to get everyone in your room excited and engaged in your show (including you!). It’s super fun to play, and built right into your broadcast window so it’s fast, and easy to set up.

2. Use your room to attract & enchant your viewers

There’s nothing more thrilling to your audience than watching you do your shows from creative, unique places. This doesn’t mean you need to go somewhere extreme, interesting places to broadcast from are everywhere, you’ll rarely need to look much further than your own house…or apartment…or car.

Don’t forget to #Tag your shows so viewers can find your show easier! Eg. #gay, #muscleworship, #pee, #squirt, etc…

3. Increase your earnings by using Live Touch to connect your toys!

4. Set a TIP GOAL! 

Reaching a goal can take anywhere from 30 minutes to 3 hours (and beyond) depending on the value of the goal. So a good idea would be to do your goals in stages.

Eg. Flashes=25Tkns Toy= 50Tkns  (Your first show) @Goal 

Then once you reach that goal you can update your text box and increase your goal for the next smaller show you’ll do once you’ve reached that goal!

5. Best ways to use Private and Group shows

Private Shows

This is a full 1 on 1 experience where fans get you all to themselves, perfect for living out either of your fantasies. I recommend doing private shows either before or after your public show – this way you can give the viewer in your private show your full attention, without upsetting fans who were tipping to reach your public show goal. No one likes to be left hanging bb.

Private Show Tips:

• When you are accepting private shows, change the scenery by either moving to a different room, turning on different coloured lights or simply changing your cam angle. This will let your fans know it is private time and may entice more fans to take you private.|
• Have specific costumes, toys, and roll-play scenarios that you do only when in a private show with your fans. Sexy show exclusives will heighten the excitement and pleasure for both of you.
• Cam2Cam is a private show exclusive feature where you get to see and hear your fan in real time. This makes it so much easier for the both of you to communicate your desires during your show. (Don’t worry, spies are not able to hear anything in a private show and they can only see the performer)
• If your fan wants to get more personal in the private show, call them by a name they choose. You can even record the show and send it as a gift by uploading the video to your Google Drive and sending the URL link in a private message. Even better, send the video as a surprise 😉

Group Shows

Group Shows are special show that requires a number of viewers to purchase tickets (for tokens). These are great for hosting groups of fans that want to see you pleasing yourself and others without having a huge crowd around.

Group Show Tips:

This is also a great option if you have a few very loyal fans in your room and you want to offer them a more intimate show.

• If you are a couple and offer this fantasy, you can have your partner watch in the background of the cam while you please the fans who are in your group.
• If you have slaves, you can tell them to get tickets –so they have to watch you get pleasure from other fans while they can only watch and tip.
• If you enjoy the fantasy of being watched by multiple people while you are doing a show, tell your fans that this turns you on and create a group show. To really heighten this fantasy, tell the fans in your group show to say or do certain things while you are performing, they will absolutely love to be a part of your fantasy.
• If you have a gangbang or multiple partner fantasy, tell your fans how much you want them to have their way with you. You then have the option of letting them take control of dirty talk, etc… or telling them how you want them to act towards you while the group show is taking place.

6. Upload videos for sale to your My Shop

My Shop allows you to make money even when you’re not camming, so its a good idea to have a full library of videos you can tweet and promote…even when you’re not online.

7. Connect your Twitter to #CAM4!

By connecting your Twitter to #CAM4, you can write customized auto-tweets that will go out 15min before your scheduled shows, 5min after you’ve actually started your broadcast, and you can even tweet directly from your broadcast window. 

These tweets will also automatically include #CAM4, and your show URL so viewers can simply click and join your room directly from your tweet.

8.  How to earn $$$, and get more viewers with one simple Tweet. 

Tweet your CAM4 referral link and make 2$ for each new sign-up to CAM4! Put your referral link in your auto tweets to increase your chances of having new people sign-up! 

To find your affiliate link you must go to ‘My Account’ => ‘Referral Program’ => and copy the link located at “CAM4 Home Page” and paste it into your tweets.

TWITTER 

1. Keep Your Profile and Cover Images Clean

Performers are able to show more sensitive and R-rated content, but this is not true for every area in Twitter. In your profile picture and your banner you can’t show any nudity, nothing sexy! Keep it SFW. This helps to keep your profile active and away from the dreaded bans. 

2. Keep Twitter Live Streams Clean

The same rules apply to your live broadcasts on Twitter, make sure there’s no nudity. Though this is an awesome way to tease viewers into your shows, it’s not the place to get explicit. 

3. Keep Nudity in Your Posts

Your tweets can include nudity, so you’re free to be as explicit as you want. 

4. Am I Shadowbanned?

Twitter will “shadowban” accounts that violate these rules. This means that your profile won’t appear in searches, making it hard for fans to find you. 

5. Tagging People in Photos

If you’re uploading a picture, click on the “Who’s in this photo?” button and you can tag up to 10 users in the photo. This is a cleaner option than tagging followers in the tweet itself.

6. Use Twitter Analytics!

 If you’re on your desktop on your Twitter profile page, look at “statistics” on the sidebar.  You can get a lot of information about when’s the best time to send your tweets, who’s following you, their interests etc. If you go through that data, you’ll have a better understanding of when you can make money and gain followers.

INSTAGRAM

1. Keep it all Clean!

Everything has to be SFW! Instagram can take down any pictures that are reported as, or are NSFW. Tease viewers, or show off your personality and style. 

2. We Recommend no More Than Bikini Photos

Take some bikini pics and keep them on hand for Instagram. It’s also good to take some seductive pics without any nudity or explicit content.

3. Where Can I Link?

Try not to post links to porn sites in your posts – instead, post your Twitter link so your followers can get links to your cam shows directly there. 

4. Snapchat Takeovers

The best way to get a Snapchat takeover is to send a message to @CAM4 on Twitter and we’ll hook you up! Sammy is booking into December, so let her know! Snapchat takeovers are a great way to get lots of photos and videos so you can post on your personal social media accounts.

Getting Your Posts RT’d by your Cam Company

To get retweeted by a camming platform, there’s some key things you have to do: 

Include your URL – we want followers to click on your links!

Use hashtag (#) or ‘@’ your cam company – #cam4, for example. 

Post a HOT visual! (videos are a huge preference though) People love to see visuals. You can add up to 4 photos in a post.

If you want people on Twitter to watch your live shows, the Twitter picture should show them what that show’s going to be like. Example: if you’re doing a show from your bath tub, take pics/video of you in the tub!

Separate posts if you’re tagging separate cam companies! One post for one site, that way each site has the opportunity to retweet you

Snapchat is a goldmine for cam performers, here are all of the tips you need to get started like a pro. 

Getting Started

1. Sign up for an account with a username similar to your camming name.
2. Review your privacy settings to make sure you’re comfortable.
3. Download your Snapcode at accounts.snapchat.com and put this on your CAM4 profile, print material for events, and other social media channels.

Monetize Your Snapchat

There’s a couple of ways to do this. The easiest is to keep all of your premium members in a Group Chat or create a Group Story. Here’s where you send nudes, post the more scandalous pics, give them that special content they pay for. Even offering Snapchat deals will make your premium fans smile. For example, a 100 or 200 token gift is required to get your premium Snapchat. 

Offer a free Snapchat to all of your fans

You should always have a free Snapchat for your fans, otherwise how will people know that paying for your premium is worth it? Post your updates, CAM4 link, any videos or special deals you’ve got, and show off your personality! Push for your followers to go premium, too. 

Do takeovers!

Finding new followers is really easy when you do takeovers. There are so may cam girl promo accounts on Snapchat that allow girls of all different sites to do takeovers. You can also do a takeover on CAM4Snaps to boost your following. Make sure you pick a day that you’re camming, and offer your Snapchat fans something special if they tip you – like a free video clip.
