Whether you are brand new, or an experienced performer, setting up a new space can be a little tricky – unless you follow these great tips to getting set up!

Locate All Light Sources

You want to control the light no matter where you are performing. Start by:

• Covering all windows. The sun is not a suitable source of light because it is inconsistent and can give away your location.
• See what light fixtures are already in the room and how much light they give off.

Once you know how much light you have to work with you need to:

• Compact fluorescent bulbs should be used (daylight color / 5500 kelvin or 5000-6500 Kelvin)or (Soft white bulbs are 2700 – 3000 kelvin and that is on the warmer side)
• Get a few clamp lamps to add light where needed

 Choose A Flattering Angle

When choosing which direction to point your webcam, keep in mind that we are a visual site and the more you have in your background the better.

Here are a few tips for picking a flattering angle:

• If you have a “good side” you are more comfortable facing the cam with take that into account. You always want to be comfortable, so make sure you don’t have to position your body in an awkward pose to get the effect you want.
• To make the most of a space, have the camera angled towards a corner of the room with your webcam in the opposite corner. This will give you the most space to work with and incorporate more wall space you can use for decorating or game boards.
• Position your webcam so it is above you angling down, this is very flattering on all body types.
• If you want to look taller place your webcam below you angled so it is pointing up at you, this is also a great angle for sexy walking, dancing, and the giantess fetish.

 Set Your Stage

This is the best part of setting up your room. The longer you are in a space, the more comfortable you get and the more you will decorate. Your room doesn’t have to be perfect, but it has to be a place you will want to hang out in for hours.

Beautiful additions to any room:

Curtains are the perfect room accessory if you can’t paint, or if you need to hide things like closet doors (which I did here).

To create this affect I used a basic curtain rod and attached it to the wall the same way you would hang any curtains. I then sewed fabric loops onto my favorite fabric and hung them.

 A large mirror is fantastic for selfies and to reflect the back of you to your viewers so they catch you from every angle. To make this extra flattering, prop your mirror on your wall at a bit of an angle. This will make your body look longer while laying down and taller when standing. Having it by your bed is also a plus because you will have so many bed selfies!

Use colored lights, pillows, posters, games, toys, musical instruments, etc. to dress up your space. Remember, the whole point of adding these things is so you don’t get bored, if you love your surroundings and have lots to interact with, the more fun it is to watch you.

If you’ve ever thought to yourself “How come that person is more successful than me when I feel like I do so much work?” you may benefit from learning how to more successfully manage your time on and off cam.

Understanding Time Management

The first step is understanding that ‘clock time’ and ‘real time’ are not the same thing. Although we measure our lives with clock time, it has little to do with our success… Real time, on the other hand, is relative and is made up of our thoughts, conversations and actions. How we manage these thoughts, conversations, and actions is what determines how productive and successful we are in life.

Without going into great detail, write down all your thoughts, conversations and actions for 1 week to see how your time is spent. This will show you how your time is spent both on and off cam.

Once the week is done, take a look at your list and determine which thoughts, conversations, and actions produced positive results, which produced negative results, and which wasted your time.

Knowing where and how your time is spent will drastically help you focus on things that get you the results you want. You will have a clearer picture of where your success is coming from while doing everything – including filming videos, taking pictures, engaging in social media, getting ready to perform, and even broadcasting your shows!

 How To Apply This To Your Performances

Step One: Set a schedule for yourself and stick to it.

Once you get into a rhythm, you will find you have more time to get things done outside of your shows – like videos, pictures, social media, and much needed personal time. You will also see that having a regular schedule will make it easier for you to fill up your room with fans (because they know when to find you).

 Step Two: Stay positive!

Before you go on cam, take 5-10 min to envision your show. What is the positive outcome you want? How you are going to achieve it? Time management + positive frame of mind = results.

 Step Three: Keep your show focused

While on cam, use your time effectively by staying in your public show until you have finished. Only accept Private Show requests after or before your public show. Keeping this separate will increase results for both – running around is not effective and you could lose fans and money as a result.

 Step Four: Learn to say “please wait” to your fans.

Your fans will learn your schedule and greatly appreciate the structure in your room. Fans of your public show will tip more because you are not going back and forth to private all the time, while private show fans will appreciate you being ready and prepared to give them a great show.

Broadcasting yourself online – on CAM4 or 3rd party services like Skype – carries the risk of being recorded, but there are many things you can do to lower your risk or take action once you’ve been recorded.

Lowering Your Risk Of Being Recorded

Using programs like Many-cams or broadcasting using OBS will allow you to watermark your broadcast and that will give you more control of your image – most adult content sites care about your privacy and will not allow watermarked videos/images to be uploaded.

To further protect your privacy, CAM4 allows performers to hide their face – or even wear a mask – while broadcasting.

What To Do If You Find A Recording Of Yourself

If your videos/images are uploaded to a download site (such as 4shared or Megaupload) your best bet is to contact them first to request the removal.  Have the URL links to your uploaded video(s) ready. Upload sites are more apt to respond quickly as this violates their policy.

If other types of websites posting your content you can contact the administrators  by using their Copyright Violation/DMCA link – this will typically be located at the bottom of the page. If you cannot find one, use their Abuse or Contact info provided.

If you are unable to find contact information on the website, you can go to netsol.com and do a WHOIS search. In some cases you may be able to find the company that hosts the website and inform them of the violation of the company’s terms of service.

You may have to contact certain sites a few times before your successful, but these are the steps you need to take to get your videos/images removed from a website.

It’s a private affair

The information that you provide CAM4 when you perform, earn money or upload your ID is completely confidential. Leaving the site means sharing personal information with fans so you can meet them elsewhere – this increases the chances of your private information being revealed.

Keep the fantasy alive

By doing shows elsewhere, you run the risk of getting too close to a fan and potentially ruining the fantasy you project when you are performing live on CAM4. Fans may get confused at this level of intimacy, they start to feel close to you and feelings may be hurt.  You could even end up losing a great fan.

Get step-by-step instructions on how to do some simple body painting techniques that will have you looking like a sexy work of art.

Why Body Paint?

Ever feel like you are always wearing the same thing? Want a unique outfit for one of our CAM4 photo contests? Looking for ways to spice up your shows and make some ‘art’?  Sounds like you need to give body painting a try!

Read on for step-by-step instructions on how to do some simple body painting techniques that will have you looking like a sexy work of art.

Note: Everything used for this article was purchased for under $20 at a dollar store.

What you’ll need:

• Non-toxic paint
• A set of brushes
• A plate
• Water
• Paper towel or a towel
• Baby wipes
• Q-tips
• Sponges
• Stick on letters

Twinkling Star

This star looks best when you use a thin brush and a light color of paint.

Start by making a line with your thin brush, you want to make this line fairly even width throughout.

Place your brush in the center of your line and make a stroke outwards creating a ‘T’ shape

Do the same for the other side so you now have an ‘+’ sign.

Following the same technique, make a smaller ‘+’ shape that fills in the area between the original, larger ‘+’ shape.

Add dots to create the twinkling effect!

Stencil Your Body

For this one, place sticky foam letters anywhere on your body in the text you want.

Use your sponge to dab paint all over your stencils in your desired colour. This effect is really cool if you use different colours throughout your stencil.

Once the paint is dry remove the foam stencils to reveal your work. I used my flat-head brush to trace the edges of my foam stencil for a more dramatic effect.

One Stroke Painting

This technique is about using more than one color but not letting your colors mix together with your brush stroke. I am creating a flower using my flat-head brush and 2 colors of paint.

Placing the flat head of the brush down on my skin and holding my brush strait up; I make a crescent shape while keeping the head of my brush on my skin the whole time.

Repeat this crescent shape; keeping one color always on the outside and the other always on the inside to create the center of the flower.

By adding white to one side of each petal you create a highlight that will give added dimension to your flower. Finish with a white center and some dots and you are finished!

This tutorial will show you how to go from day makeup to an evening look with just an eyeliner change! Cat eyeliner is the perfect makeup addition to lingerie, a dominatrix look, or even Hollywood Bombshell when you pair it with red lips.

Creating The Cat Eyeliner Look

To create this look you will need:

• Liquid liner
• Concealer
• Flat head sable brush (for the concealer)
• Q-tips

Step 1

• Start by putting a base on your eyelids of either concealer or foundation to neutralize your eyelid – this will also make your liner stay in place longer.
• Using the side of your eyeliner brush, start to slowly drag it along your lash line in short small strokes, starting at the outer corner and working your way in.
• Doing short, small strokes is the key to getting a straight line.

Step 2

• After you have your eye lined it is time to create the ‘wing’ of your eyeliner. Make sure your face is in a natural position so you can see where the winger is going to sit the best.
• Place your liner at the corner of your bottom lash line and extend outwards at an angle that suits your eye shape. To create a proper cat eye you need to extend your lower lash line, not your upper lash line.

Step 3

• Once you are happy with your lower lash line you need to connect your lines together by extending your upper eye line; think about drawing a triangle on your eye.
• After they are connected you can fill in the empty space and complete your ‘wing’.

Step 4

• Repeat this process for your other eye now, taking care to match your ‘wing’ to the other side: take a step back, have your face in a resting position, and extend the lower lash line. Check to see that your line is even with the finished wing on your other eye, then connect the upper and lower line to create your triangle.
• You can sharpen up you wing, or correct a mistake, by using some concealer on a flat head brush and running along the edge of your wing.

Now you have a sexy cat liner technique you can wear on cam to seduce your fans!

Tips For Your Car Wash Show

Start the show by sporting your cutest shorts/bikini/speedo and adding lots of soap and water. Have goals like “Get me wet”, “Shirt and shorts with no underwear at goal” or “Soapy strip” to get your fans excited and showing you love.

Once completely naked, continue to wash the car, but use your entire body. Try using sexy positions to tease your fans – like bending over the car to reach those hard to clean areas, using your sponge and getting soap all over you, bending over to pick something up off the ground. I can’t promise that your car will be any cleaner, but you will have a lot of fun pretending to wash it for your fans!
