Difference between banning (denying access) and moderating (steering chat behavior).<\/p>\n<p>    <span class=\"stamp\">You decide what happens in your room \u2014 choose the mildest effective option and scale up if necessary.<\/span><br \/>\n  <\/header>\n<section>\n<h2>Banning on CAM4<\/h2>\n<p>Sometimes it is necessary to deny someone access completely or partially. There are two types of bans:<\/p>\n<div class=\"cards cards-2\">\n<div class=\"card\">\n<h3>1) Administrator Site Ban<\/h3>\n<p>With a site ban, a user loses access to the entire website \u2014 usually after violating the Terms &#038; Conditions or illegal activities.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Illegal\/prohibited activities (including minors)<\/li>\n<li>Spamming or scamming<\/li>\n<li>Unlawfully recording\/distributing broadcasts<\/li>\n<li>Persistent ignoring of warnings (e.g., playing video instead of live)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"muted\">Payment problems can also lead to a site ban. Do they think they were banned unfairly? Refer to <a href=\"mailto:support@cam4.com\">support@cam4.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Full terms: <a href=\"https:\/\/cam4.com\/legal\/termsofuse\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">cam4.com\/legal\/termsofuse<\/a><\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"card\">\n<h3>2) Broadcaster Room Ban<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Only applies to your room.<\/li>\n<li>The viewer can still use the rest of CAM4.<\/li>\n<li>Only use if milder options didn&#8217;t work.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You have full control over who has access to your room.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/section>\n<p><\/p>\n<section>\n<h2>Moderating on CAM4<\/h2>\n<p>In addition to banning, there are lighter measures to keep your chat pleasant. Both you and your moderators can use these functions.<\/p>\n<div class=\"cards\">\n<div class=\"card\">\n<h3>Moderate Yourself or Deploy a Moderator<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>You can steer visitors yourself with available tools.<\/li>\n<li>You can also appoint a moderator who takes over (part of) it.<\/li>\n<li>A good moderator promotes atmosphere and income \u2014 reward active mods.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"warnbox\">\n          <b>Note<\/b>: Be careful with mod rights, especially with other models. Someone else can remove visitors from your room; confidentiality and clear agreements are essential.\n        <\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/section>\n<section>\n<\/p>\n<h2>Available Options (from Mild to Strict)<\/h2>\n<div class=\"cards cards-2\">\n<div class=\"card\">\n<h3>Silencing<\/h3>\n<p>Messages from the visitor are not visible to anyone. Useful for negative behavior, spam, or begging.<\/p>\n<p class=\"muted\">Advantage: the user often doesn&#8217;t notice and is less likely to create new accounts.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"card\">\n<h3>Kicking<\/h3>\n<p>The visitor is temporarily removed but can come back immediately. Only use after a clear warning.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"card\">\n<h3>Room Ban<\/h3>\n<p>The heaviest tool within your room. The visitor can only come back once you have released (unban) him\/her.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/section>\n<section>\n<\/p>\n<h2>Keep CAM4 Fun!<\/h2>\n<p>Banning and moderating protect our community against abuse, illegal activities, and disruptive behavior. Use them wisely and to your advantage.<\/p>\n<p>Do you see someone who is not following the rules?
